Maruti e-Vitara Electric SUV 2026: The electric SUV segment in India is expanding quickly as car manufacturers introduce long-range EVs with modern technology and improved efficiency. The e-Vitara is expected to use a single front-mounted electric motor with a front-wheel-drive configuration. The motor in the smaller battery variant may produce around 144 PS of power, while the larger battery version can deliver approximately 174 PS of power. Both versions may generate close to 193 Nm of torque, providing smooth acceleration and efficient electric driving performance for daily use.

Charging Time and EV Technology

The SUV will support both AC home charging and DC fast charging technology. Using a 7.4 kW AC charger, the battery may take approximately 6 to 9 hours for a full charge depending on battery capacity. With DC fast charging, the battery may charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in around 40 to 50 minutes, which helps reduce waiting time during long trips.

Interior Features and Safety

Inside the cabin, the SUV is expected to feature a large touchscreen infotainment system along with a fully digital driver display. Additional features may include wireless smartphone connectivity, automatic climate control, wireless charging and connected car technology. Safety equipment may include multiple airbags, electronic stability control, 360-degree camera and advanced driver assistance systems to improve overall safety.
